Terms and conditions of booking & cancellation policy

• A credit or debit or card is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
• Reservations can be made by phone, fax, letter or email.
• A secured booking represents a contract between the guest and the hotel. We charge £10 per person cancellation fee from the time of confirmed booking. In the event of cancellation within 7 days or less you will be responsible for 90% of the cost of the entire booking. People failing to arrive without notification may be responsible for the entire cost of the booking. Curtailment of Stay - No Refunds Given.

Individual booking policy - Cancellation Policy 7 days.

Group bookings 2 or more rooms – Cancellation Policy 14 days.

We strongly recommend that guests take out travel / cancellation insurance.

The Yorkshire Tourist Board recommend that you take out cancellation insurance, please call TPS Ltd 0870 7744056.

• Accounts must be settled in full on arrival by Credit or Debit Card (Subject to surcharge), Cash or Cheque supported by Cheque Guarantee up to the value of the card (Company Cheques are not accepted). Sterling travellers cheques (no change given).
• Check in is between 11am and 2pm all week and then again between 5pm and 9pm Monday to Friday and 6pm to 9pm Saturday and Sunday. If you wish to arrive out of these hours please mention at the time of booking. Reception may be closed outside of these hours.
• Guests are requested to vacate the rooms by 10:00am on the day of departure.
• To maintain our high standards all rooms are checked following check out. The cardholder is deemed to be responsible for their actions and those of any of their party. Bishops reserves the right to replace, with new, any missing, damaged or soiled items, any additional cleaning will be charged appropriately and may include any cost for loss of business. The cost of the replacement or cleaning will be charged against the card used to secure the room.
• For the comfort and benefit of our guests Bishops is a strictly non-smoking establishment. Should you choose to ignore this policy, you will be asked to leave and charged in full for your entire stay plus an additional £100 for specialist cleaning to your room. Payment will be taken from the card used to secure the room.
• Sorry no pets.
• We request that guests do not bring their own food and drink into the Hotel. Corkage may be charged.
• All prices include VAT at the prevailing rate.
• You are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions by reserving a room.
  

THE MANAGEMENT RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHANGE YOUR ROOM WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE. WHILST WE ENDEAVOUR TO FULFILL ALL OUR CUSTOMERS REQUESTS CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL SOMETIMES MEAN WE CANNOT GUARANTEE A ROOM.

DISCLAIMER  

DAMAGES  Please take care with our accommodation. You are responsible and liable for any breakages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. we do not normally charge for minor breakages but we may charge for repair or making good if the damage is significant and we may make an additional charge if you did not report this.

LIABILITY  We do not accept liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our emplyees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
